A notification about cookies on login screen

Recently, a new string was added to a login screen:

This forum uses cookies to store sessions and the reading progress. Do NOT login if you do not agree with that!

However I haven't noticed any further changes to this forum's behavior. Are there any changes at all?

Yes - as long as you aren't logged in, the forum will not store any cookies now - it will use a number in the URL instead. This is done because of an EU law which forbids the use of cookies as long as the user hasn't been informed about it.
