Crash on Win7

Post by *whytea »

How?
When right click on network or USB drive button, TotalCmd crashes.

This happens a lot (not always) on Window 7 with TotalCmd 64-bit 8.01RC4. But I haven't seen this on XP running TotalCmd 32-bit 8.01 RC4.

You most likely have a buggy Shell extension installed on your system.

Search this forum for ShellExView or look here http://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Right_click_menu_%28context_menu%29_crash

No, no - I am saying that you should download and use the tool ShellExView to help you find the buggy Shell extension, that you apparantly have.

Well, all reported problems about a crash on right click have been finally found to be related to a buggy shell extension.

... and there had been a lot meanwhile (just search for ShellExView at the forum and count the hits)
