Lister doesn't view next item

Post by *itsTerrible »

When I view an image using the Lister (F3), it shows the image, but it doesn't allow me to view the next image when I press N.

Even when I click the menu item "Next File", it doesn't go to the next file in the directory.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

P.S.: Am using ver. 8

Hello itsTerrible,
You need to select multiple files to be able to view them using N in Lister.

Have same situation with ANY files.
No matter if I selected files or not - this feature does not work now.

Hi, folks.

Just tried it and it works as expected here:
Marked 5 .png files in a random folder by pressing <Ctrl>A, pressed <F3> in order to view the first file. Works fine. Cycled forward through the 5 image files by pressing letter N. Cycled backward through the 5 image files by pressing letter P. (In fact, I used letters n and p, not N an P).

Repeated the same procedure in a different folder and selected (marked) several .sql files. So pure text files, no plugin needed or used to view them. Cycling through the files by pressing n (forward) and p (backward) worked as expected.

Total Commander 8.01 rc5 32-bit
Lister plugin displaying images files: Imagine
Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin 32-bit and Wine 1.4

Kind regards,
Karl

Confirmed bug here (TC 8.0 32-bit Final, Windows 8 x64)

Even selecting files, Lister doesn't load next or previous text files pressing N or P (the menu commands doesn't work either).

Hi, folks.

As cycling through files in lister by pressing n and p works fine for Hacker and me, I assume you may be using a lister plugin which intercepts the corresponding Windows messages and does not pass them on although it is not responsible for displaying the selected files.

Could this be the case?

Lister plugins used here:
+ Imagine

MaxX,
Configuration - Options - Edit/View - Viewer for F3?

I tried with AKFont, the font viewer, and it has the same problem.

For images, I've now changed it to an external viewer, XnView and it's working fine.

Oh, I see... I have first point active (F3).
Now tried selection + Shift+F3 -> works fine.

No bug, just not proper config.
Pardon.
