I sorry I am total lost on how to install this downloads. It saying use the (help) to install the zip file. any helppetermad wrote:Another way to get familiar with the potential of TC, is do download and install some ot the Extended menus for TC.
TC's default menu only holds a limited amount of the commands that are at your disposal - the extended menus holds all or most of the commands.
I don't say that you should necessarily use these menus all the time - but they can give you an idea of what you can do.

I tryed to install configuration editor, but I was not sure to over write my newer files and I got errors.ts4242 wrote:2jimbow86
Try Configuration Editor, it is contain all TC settings well organized and with full description.
Code: Select all

Ultra TC Editors Setup
---------------------------
An error occurred while registering the file 'C:\Windows\system32\ITIRCL.DLL'
---------------------------
Abort Retry Ignore

Those packs contain two things: main menu configurations (that replace the standard main menu with a more advanced one) and a zip file with some additions (new icons, ...). To install the menu part, open the zip file in TC, it should offer an installation. You might need to select the new menu in "Configuration->Options->Language->Main menu file:". Then you can install those additions using "Help->Install Addons For Total Commander".I sorry I am total lost on how to install this downloads. It saying use the (help) to install the zip file.

I am using WinRAR and selecting Totalcum folder to copy the files, maybe I should reinstall Total Commander and start over ?petermad wrote:To install any plugin or language file (menu) in Total Commander you just have to doubleclick the downloaded zip file - but you have to do it from Total Commander, NOT from Windows Explorer.
You don't have to. Don't use WinRar. Start Total Commander, and navigate with TC to the downloaded zip-file - then doubleclick or press Enter on the file - and TC will automatically ask you if you want to install what's inside the zip file.maybe I should reinstall Total Commander and start over
