EricB wrote:Hi Ariel,

I can confirm that MD5 and SHA1/2 algorithms are now working without any crashes. Zero byte files do not render any crashes and hash remains empty. Caching seems to do the job very well: if a folder with large files was formerly accessed, the hash values are displayed nearly instantaneous. Well done!

The CRC32 algorithm that I'm using is the same one implemented by PKZIP and TC itself (TC menu: Files -> Create Checksum Files(s)). The wdHash plugin is using a different variation of the algorithm. The one I used is commonly named CRC32b but I dropped the 'b' to avoid confusion since I did not intend to implement both of them.

Now, after your request, I reconsidered.
CHANGED - Current CRC32 algorithm was renamed to CRC32b (algorithm used by PKZIP).
ADDED - CRC32 hash algorithm (used by ethernet and wdHash) is now supported.
Great job! I can't thank you enough. This is a huge timesaver for me.

It seems you've never used custom columns in TC. Take a look at TC's help file and TC's Options > Custom Columns for more information about them (when pressing F1 in that dialog it will directly open the appropriate help page).

Thank you so much for your help - you are correct- I actually never use custom columns until now.
In this matter I have a question- do you know a way to copy particular hash field from some hash custom column by some way?
Because with F2 (rename) I can select only file name + its extension, but can't select some hash field of any custom column!

Thank you, but this method is appropriate with small number of columns. I want to copy only some selected field. Here is an example of row/file with almost all hash columns, ordered by default until SHA3 512 (maybe because of line chars length limit in wincmd.ini):

I want to copy only some selected field.

Then create a second custom column set with only the need hash columns, no?

64 custom columns is not a good resolution. I guest there is no way to copy only selected field, but the hole row, including that field, which is not my way!

Always only the whole row, yes.

TC gives you the basics, that you can process for individual need (every user needs other results)

The Menu "Mark >> Copy To Clipboard With All Details"-export is tab-delimited,
so you can paste it to a spreadsheet and so access single column data as cells.

Or you can e.g. utilize AutoHotkey to parse the clipboard content and get wanted single column data back.

Thank you for your suggestions. Is there a way to print to file all custom columns in current dir? Something like dir *.* > file.txt, but the result must be custom hash columns.
