Is there a way with TC to find directories that have X amount of files in them?

Hi,

The plugin DirSizeCalc, made by Lefteous, can do this. Install the plugin (see http://www.totalcmd.net/download.php?id=dirsizecalc) and configure custom columns for it. DirSizeCalc.File Count checks the amount of files in a folder.
Furthermore, you can also use TC Search using this plugin. In the plugin tab of the search dialog you can configure dirsizecalc File Count > [some amount] and it will do the trick.

HTH,

Mass versus Count

By the bye, this would have helped make the title more immediately understandable:
''..x number of files' or '..x number of bytes'.
http://www.grammar-monster.com/easily_confused/amount_quantity_and_number.htm

Search doesn't quite help - as an alternative - since, while a search for *. will find directories, and files without extensions, the advance filter of 'File size' does indeed find only files.
Anyway, you've found a work-around.
Remember Alt-Shift-Enter in Full view too. The selection bar used to have to be on a directory/folder for the function to work, but that requirement seems no longer to obtain.
