Disappearing "Rename" dialog...?

Post by *joeyeti »

HI folks,

I wonder if anyone has experienced this too:

When I rename a group of files, the Rename dialog disappears together with the main TC window (they lose focus and are basically "sent to background" behind other open windows on the screen).

Is this some feature of WinXP turned on perhaps?

Never seen. Maybe you're using some third-party application that causes this?

Can you reproduce this using the current version of Total Commander, too, which is 8.01?

Windows sometimes steals the focus from programs which do not react for several seconds. Normally the multi-rename tool shouldn't do that, but it may happen when a third party program causes a slowdown, e.g. a slow virus scanner scanning a huge archive. This can take several seconds.
