double extension

Many e-book readers accept books in compressed fb2 files which have extension .fb2.zip. TC treats these files as zip-archives. Is there a workaround to set a special internal association for ".fb2.zip"?

Currently not - the extension is by definition the part behind the last dot. But I will check whether it could be added anyway.
