Rename file in copy dialog

Recently I found myself copying file from one folder to another with pattern:
- open source and destination folders in different panels
- go to the file in source folder
- copy files using f5 -> enter
- tab to get to destination folder and browse the file
- press f2 to rename copied file

I suddenly asked myself why I'm not renaming file directly in copy dialog? That seems to be far more straightforward. And immediately after this questions I've realized that renaming in copy dialog forces me to use cursor arrow to get to the right position at the begging of file name, and that's really sloppy. Renaming with f2 is way better - since only file name is selected, you can start typing new name immediately without deleting extension. So here's a question|idea about copy/pack dialog: select only file name instead of whole file path like this: http://gyazo.nivalnetwork.com/db/671c3971ae6cc7a28d38ad949ef182b4.png

I hope it's really simple and it's already done, I just need to add new variable to wincmd.ini =)

Have you tried to press F5 once more after opening copy dialog? :wink:

BTW your image link is damaged.

You can do it with F5, Shift+F5, F6, Shift+F6, Alt+F5, and even more than double times (every additional pey press changes selection: full path, just name or name with extension).

Wow, I bumped into this topic looking for something else. ...Man, TC is more than great.

I knew about Shift+F6 ones or two times, but didn't know that F5 second time would select file name and copy it under a new name... I've been using TC for many years, but there are still so many things to be explored.

Thanks,
