Dear Friends,
I used to move (F6 function key) my cbr files, overwriting target files after checking the thumbnails. I have just reinstalled windows 8 and that function does not work anymore: it worked automatically in my previous windows installation (windows 8 ) without modifying TC options (I remain a total beginner). I have installed Irfan View and XnView, WinRAR (like in my previous windows 8 installation) without results. Please, remember that TC displays thumbnails of normal jpg files.
Please, can you help me?
thumbnails function does not work with cbr files

If Irfanview or Xnview is able to show an image for .cbr files:
Configuration -> Options... : Thumbnails
Loading Thumbnails for:
[x] Get from Irfan-/Xnview for ...
In addition:
<F3>Configuration -> Options... : Configure Lister
[x] Use Irfanview/Xnview to load graphics other than BMP
should be configured an point to one of the installed picture viewers
Last not least inside the override dialog the:
[x] Thumbnails
check button has to be activated.
Regards
Holger

Maybe you had a program installed which showed cbr thumbnails in Explorer - Total Commander will use that method too if available.

You are absolutely right!!ghisler(Author) wrote:Maybe you had a program installed which showed cbr thumbnails in Explorer - Total Commander will use that method too if available.
At last I discovered that "Cdisplay Ex" displays CBR thumbnails in Explorer: that program can also display thumbnails during copy/move operations in Total Commander.
BTW Many thanks for your wonderful file manager!!! It remains "Windows Commander" for me!!!
