issue copy/move (F5/F6) dialogs when ZIP or FTP on 2nd panes
One can use F5/F6 Copy/Move dialogs in order to copy/move the selected files inside the source pane by entering manually any folder name/path in the first field, say, ../.. or C:\test[/b]. In this event you don't actually use the 2.nd pane (as the target place) at all.
But it is not possible to make such one-pane trick, when there is a ZIP/RAR archive or FTP folder or some other special source like that on the 2.nd (target) pane. Pressing F5 or F6 will bring a special dialog "Pack" or "Upload" instead of the regular Copy or Move dialog. Thus if you enter manually some target folder as, say, "C:\test", you'll get the error.
Is there any workaround for such cases? Say, some internal commands to force TC to call the regular F5 or F6 dialogs disregarding of what is the current folder on the target pane. Or may by to extend somehow "Pack" and "Upload" dialogs functionality, that is to make them to handle manually entered target folders.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, use Shift+F5 (copy to same directory) or Shift+F6 (rename/move in place).

Ah, you are right, sorry. Actually there is no problem with copying files via Shift+F5 dialog in the situation I've described above.
However one usually needs to move files much more often, than to copy them - but there is no a similar solution to move files. (Say, Shift+F6 is the option to rename files in-place, so it does not allow to move files.)

Actually the same works for Shift+F6 too, have you tried it?

It does not work and it can not work that way for the single file selected, because Shift+F6 for the single file calls "rename in-place" function.
Ah, I see now, what you mean!
If after Shift+F6 I directly as the beginning of the current file name enter some path (a folder name) as for example
..\..\..\myfile.txt
or
D:\test\myfile.txt
followed by the backslash in the end of the path, it actually works the same way as in F6 or F5 the dialogs
You are right, I have never tried it before neither I've read of this undocumented trick in some manual or TC-regarding forum. And this solution is far not intuitive for me, never had an idea, that rename in-place might accept paths as well. Total Commander is the endless as the Universe is and has just as many hidden magic features
NB!
Please regard, that the relative statement in TC manual is wrong:
"SHIFT+F6 with multiple selected files opens a dialog box which allows to specify wildcards (* and ?) to rename multiple files.
If the source directory shows the contents of an archive, this function is unavailable."
Actually this function is available in this situation as well, and whit FTP folder on the target pane too, but only for multiple files selected.
Yes, I have, including version 8.01.Actually the same works for Shift+F6 too, have you tried it?
