More flexible method for checksum creation

Hello,
I have a suggestion regarding checksum calculation.
Total Commander only supports outputting checksum(s) into a textual file. But Krusader on Linux first creates a text window with the output, and at the bottom of it, offers saving into a file.
So can you please implement one of these methods:
1. Emulate Krusader's behavior (but this may affect some people's workflow)
2. Keep the existing behavior, but add one more option into "Create checksum" dialog, e.g. "Display only, do not output to file" or similar.
The reason for this:
Many times I just want to get the hash and copy/paste it somewhere, and opening a newly generated file and deleting it afterwars is just a bit too much hassle. I am aware that there are some tools (e.g. HashTab) that can provide this, but I think Total Commander should support this too.
Thanks!
