Thanks a lot! Works fine, but... why it is so complex? Isn't it much easier just to show window non-modally? Why going into all troubles creating such a non-intuitive process?

A separate process for each search is an elegant solution to prevent such problems when e.g. searching inside archives.

Anyway, it's better what we have now than having no non-modal search. :)
