QuickSearchAutoFilter into Configuration GUI

I originally wrote this as a bug report, as i though the default behavior for quicksearch had changed from non filtering to filtering in the 8.50 betas, however i realize i might have clicked the filtering button in the search edit field unwittingly.
As there is no mention of filtering in the Configuration GUI, I was unable to turn off the filtering without going to this webpage, and search for quick search.
I feel it is not very intuitive to figure out how to enable/disable this filtering.
As everything, it is very easy when you know it though
Suggested fix:
Add option to Configuration GUI under "Quick Search" to enable/disable filtering
