It would be nice if there way a commandline switch similar to /T to open a file in a new tab but only if TC was already running.

Also, it would be nice if there was an option to always show the plugin bar so the size of the folder list does not change when opening a tab.

Maybe using "Configuration" .> "Options..." - "Folder Tabs" -> "Show tab header also when there is only one tab" would solve that problem for you...
