Display file property "Certificate Thumbprint"?

Post by *louwin »

I suspect this is too specialized a request but, you'll never know unless you ask? :D

I want to display file property "Certificate Thumbprint". I had a quick look at addons and plugins but didn't see anything that came close :(

The property has to do with file encryption hence, too specialized?

I assume, if possible, it would have to be done using "Custom Columns"?

Can I display this property? And, if so, will I be able to sort on it? :?:

If not, is it something a newbie can add?

If the Explorer can show it, then you can use the plugin "shelldetails" which just shows the Explorer columns in Total Commander. Otherwise you need to use Alt+Enter (Properties dialog).

I'm sorry :(

Without looking even more of a newbie, I don't know what you mean :(

In File Explorer after clicking on the file concerned and then Alt/Enter you get the file Property box. If you then click on "Advanced" you get the Advanced Attributes box. If the file IS encrypted and you click on "Details" you get the "Users who can access this file:" box. And in there you can see the "Certificate thumbprint" field.

Does this mean that Explorer can show it and does it mean the plugin can too? :D

No, I meant that if you can show a column in Explorer with this value, then you can use the shelldetails plugin to see the same column also in Total Commander.

If you can see this value only in the properties (Alt+Enter), you will have to use that also in Total Commander, sorry.
