Directory Hotlist & History buttons disappear

Post by *woodfold »

I just noticed that when I doubleclick on a folder tab to delete it, the Directory Hotlist & History buttons disappear. When I move the mouse over them they reappear. See screen captures below:

No other problems occur and the buttons continue to work after reappearing.

It doesn't happen every time. It seems to happen when closing a bottom row tab causes the bottom row of tabs to be rewritten and the 2 buttons don't get rewritten.

Does unconfirmed mean you can't get it to happen at all?
The 3 screen captures show the situation pretty clearly, I think.
Maybe you need to have as many tabs and some with long titles to replicate the situation.

Not doubting your results, just trying to help pin it down.

I can confirm this to, win8, 64bit, 8.51a - you have to have allow tabs on multiple rows, just open many (can be the same folder and doesn't have to be long path), pressing ctrl-w to close a number of tabs very quickly and the buttons are "hidden" and back on mouseover OR after closing another tab.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen here, even if I start with 10 lines of tabs and keep Ctrl-w pressed. I'm also on Windows 7 x64 (pro).

The "problem" is that you have to open multiple rows of tabs, then close one or two, click on a tab somewhere in the middle of the rows - close some more and then it happens on my machine (win8.1/64bit tc) - if I open multiple rows and start closing them it doesn't happen so you have to "do something" to the tabs with your mouse in between closing tabs.

You can see it here in a short animated gif http://postimg.org/image/vj1dusalx/

I'm not using ctl-w, I use a double-click to close a tab.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen with double clickng either - I created 10 lines of tabs, and then closed them randomly via double click...
