Finding Files and Folders with comments

Post by *AnthonyCian »

Hi,
Starting to use the file comments in Total Comm. It's possible to have 100 files in one folder and only 1 file may have a comment. If I'm in Full or Brief view, I am unable to know which file has the comment. I then have to go to the Comments view to check for comments.

It would nice to have a feature that marks or tags files that have comments which can be seen in FULL and BRIEF VIEW. This way you can go to Comments View to view it. Instead of toggling the Commnets View just to check to see if any files have comments.

Thanks,

AC

- Configuration -> Options.. -> Color: [Define colors by file type..]
- [Add]
- [Define..]
- Tab "Plugins"
- tc.comment != (leave the field empty)
- [Save] as "HasComment"
- Select a Color
- ok, ok
Done

Thanks HolgerK

I tried it and it works okay. The font setup that I use for TC is not bold, I wish there was a way to use BOLD Font as a setup color. That would really have an impact.

Thanks for the step by step instructions too. It is very important to use !" for it to work. Which makes sense once you look at it that way.

Unfortunately it is only possible to set the color of the font depending a filter and not more (no background, no font weight, )...

@nsp, isn't that the response for most TC requests?

"Unfortunately.... blah blah blah"
Or, "here's a workaround",
Or, "wont be implemented",
Or, "'Normal' Users are too stupid to use such feature",
Or, "Too dangerous",
Or, "Wont work with Windows 3.1"
