Find text in PDF?

Hey,

I'm using the "find text" in the "find files" quite often.
For some reason, it does not detect text in PDF files.

Is that an issue? Should it find PDF files based on text inside the files?

PDF files don't contain pure text in one of standard encodings, that's why TC can't find text in them. However you can try using a plugin like this one.
