I've just installed XnView to control the info balloons on thumbnails.
Its a very very nice software but these balloons are realy terrible (IMHO).
Quick view window below file panel and thumbnail view

I personally don't like to look back and forth between filelist and status panel to see the infos... a few lines below the thumbnail would be nice for me.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Here's a vote for a user configurable information area beneath the thumbnail with option to include/exclude the various infos available.
I personally would want to show file name, date last modified, image dimensions, and file size. Perhaps the ability to choose from the EXIF data stored in the images would be a plus.
Configurable font characteristics would be essential, though.
