hi,
i'm french and use win 7x64, tc 8.51a x64.
a strange thing this morning :
i can't create a folder named in uppercase "LENKA" (on C drive root by example)
TC always creates it as "Lenka" (capitalize-lowercased)
i tried to do it under windows explorer and there is no problem, it works with it!
so what is this strange little problem with TC ccreating LENKA folder ? is it a internal keyword or something
have a good day
i can't create a new folder named LENKA (uppercased)

i can't create a new folder named LENKA (uppercased)
i'm an old long user of TC since the windows 3.11 release !, for the history, i came to tc when i migrate from amiga commodore to PC where they are diskmanager and directory opus there.
Can't write all upper case names (short one only)
That is by design
if you have enabled "Configuration > Display > Show old 8.3 filenames lowercase
TC doesn't creates "LENKA" as "Lenka", but show it like this only.

ok i understand, if my folder's name had 9 letters, il would be upperlowed fine, LENKA is a 5-letters one.Stefan2 wrote:
