begginer questions

Post by *kobya23 »

Hi

I am a beggiber with TC, so pls don't laugh at my quetions :wink:

1. I want the rename tool to just change the old file name so the all first letters in any sub string will be converted to Uppercase
eample:

robert wayyt - sea song.mp3
to
Robert Wayyt - Sea Song.mp3

Iv'e tried [F][N] and other stuff - doesn't seem to do the job

2. Is there any support in TC (or plug-in) to names files with MP3 Tag information. e.g if I have in the Mp3 Tag the name of the band/artist and I want this as a part of the file name...?

3. Is there any chance that TC (or plug-in) will let me view other mp3 fields in the files view ( like artist, track.) that windows explorer does show if configure it?

I am using TC 5.51 on WinXp

Thanks Guys...

Koby.

Actually, "[F][N][L]".

As for me, I use this scheme to rename MP3s:

[rename]
Good_name="[F][N][L]"
Good_ext="[E]"
Good_search=" "
Good_replace="_"
Good_params=0|1|1|1

It gives you "Robert_Wayyt_-_Sea_Song.mp3".[/face]

There is a Lister plugin to edit mp3 tags http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/factory.html.
