In Find files, when search for duplicates, after checking "Same plugin fields" it's possible to add value like [=wdhash.CRC32]. After unchecking "Same plugin fields" checkbox, value still present in field, but it doesn't restored if search setting saved and then reloaded from search template.
If value from "Same plugin fields" field will be restored form Search template even with "Same plugin fields" checkbox unchecked, template will be more universal: user won't have to disable checkbox if he doesn't want to use plugin, or if he wants, he won't waste time adding plugin value from dropdown list or via [+] button — only checking "Same plugin fields" will be required.

Well, this "garbage" already saved in templatename_dupeplugins parameter if "Same plugin fields" checked. My suggestion is to regulate checkbox state using additional value in templatename_SearchFlags parameter and save templatename_dupeplugins when "Same plugin fields" text field is not empty.MVV wrote:I think the downside may be the garbage in INI...
Currently with "Search in plugins" manually unchecked, Plugins tab rules also aren't saved to Search Template, and saving these rules will significantly increase the size of wincmd.ini. However even for this case if user doesn't want to have all this stored in wincmd.ini, it's possible to redirect section [searches] of wincmd.ini to separate ini file.
