Still see a lot of files in $RECYCLE.BIN, Is this normal?
Hello, I have a question about the $RECYCLE.BIN folder in Total Commander. When I delete the Windows trash bin I still see al lot of files in the $RECYCLE.BIN directory. The filenames start all with $I. Is this normal??
Hello, energy.
Without inspecting the $Recycle.bin folder in question, it is hard to tell whether it is ok or not to have files in it still.
Actually, $Recycle.bin holds a subfolder for each user that has ever used Windows interactively. Emptying the Windows recycle bin will only empty your own subfolder inside $Recycle.bin.
So the files that you see might be owned by other Windows users.
Cheers,
Karl
