For some reason when keying Alt-F10 the directory tree no longer "appears": only the header is shown but the directory tree is not.
The direcory tree is "actualy there": typing a directory name and pressing enter will actually take it to that directory.
The function has been working for "years".
I just registerd to the forum and I do not see here how to attach a screenshot...
Thanks in advance
Gilberto

Does it happen for all your drives, or just for drive C: ?
Maybe your treeinfo.wc file has become corrupted - try and press F2 (After Alt-F10) to rebuild it.

How about your other drives - are they also that big, and have you tried to rebuild their trees?

On all relevant drives: C and F the behaviour is the same.
On F, F2 reads up to 14k, then it seems to "finish" (no dirtree appears), and if I type an existing dir it jumps to it.
On C, F2 reads up to 109k (this time), then it seems to "finish" (no dirtree appears), and if I type an existing dir it jumps to it.

14k is not much, so it is not the number of dirs that is the problem, it must be something else.
I suggest you try with a clean wincmd.ini file.
