Total Commander

I use to compare some files that are column formatted.
So it will be helpfull to be able to select a group of characters column for the comparison.

i.e.

123456789012345678901234
NAME DATE ATTRIBUTE

xxxxxxx xxxxx yyyyyy

The idea is to select somehow the columns that I want to compare and filter the comparison result.

Where do you compare that files?

Do you talk about inside text files, or about TCs file list?
