F2 to exit zip files doesn''t return to the zip file itself.

With F2 we can exit from a zip file and return to the directory that is containing it.

In doing so the cursor today goes on top of the directory list, but until some time ago (before TC9.0x?), the cursor was going back on top of the zip file itself.

I think it's pretty clear that that was quite useful, especially when handling many zip files, and my guess is that this partial loss of functionality is due to a bug.

Previous behavior (TC 8.52a) was improper. When, for example, the third file inside archive was selected and you pressed F2 or Ctrl+R, TC moved to the folder containing the archive and selected the third item (file or folder) there.

Currently TC moves always to the top of the file list. But I agree that going to the archive itself, not to the top of the file list could be a small, but nice improvement.

MarcinW, you're right. That what it was before, and I agree it was improper.

Gral, well true it works, but this makes the F2's functionality when from inside a zip file useless, which is instead what I need.

Some requests I happen to post here seem insignificant, but when you use Total Commander hundreds of times a day and with many many zip files, these things become important (like another feature request a posted an hour ago). After all that's why I choose Total Commander, which I could never thank enough the person who created it.

Question: should I repost this feature request in the 'TC suggestions (English)' forum at this point?

[mod]Marcello Ptr,
Nope, duplicate posts are never good. Moved to the Suggestions forum.
