Searching content IIS logs, search does not complete

Post by *MrHoek »

I use TotalCmd to search thru IIS logfiles. But when the search does not find any occurrence, the 'Start searching' button keeps the text 'Stop'.

Might this be a problem, because the latest logfile is stil in use bij the IIS process?

Because I kow that in that file, there should be some content that should be found based on the search string.

Hmm, are you sure the search isn't still active? It may take a while when looking for text in huge log files...

OMG - I'm so sorry - you're right. It is still searching!!!

I thought it had already stopped, but it looks like I was completely mistaken.

Sorry :(

Again sorry - my bad!

But, could you do something with a 'progress' or so....?

Now the search is active, but it looks like it's stuck. Because nothing is found, there is no screen activity.

- Thanks

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
