I found the UI differences between DC and TC to be very small.

Completely disagree, DC scales very bad on many of its elements on high resolution screens.

Maybe. I had not tried it on my MacBook yet.

On a non-HD Windows, the differences are really small.

It's never about the UI but always about the experience.
