The position of the TAB does not change.

The default is to open the TAB to change the TAB to the lowest level.
I don't want to move the layer of TAB,
It is best to have a vertical TAB menu on the left or right side. You can adjust the column width and order. When you open the TAB from the locked TAB, it will move 1 character to the right.
The upper multi-layer TAB is not displayed.

Is it possible? How long will it take?

"How long will it take?" is a funny question
Do you have any idea about programming or how an Author schedules his work.
Btw. there is a sub-forum "TC Suggestions" which is the right one for your idea about tabs on the left or right side.

Open the targetless folder without changing the folder path, and keep the original path.
For example, if D:\1 is not found, D:\1 will be maintained, and it will not be changed to C:\ or the last opened position.
