Open a PDF file by doubleclicking in TC cannot add an item to taskbar jump list. Also, no LNK file is created in the %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\ folder.

There is no problem with Windows Explorer.

I can confirm this under Windows 10 with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but not for example under Windows 7 with Foxit PhantomPDF reader.

I think it is an Adobe Acrobat issue, because if I open Acrobat from the the desktop icon, and then open a pdf file from within the Reader's Latest list, I don't get an item in the Jump List either.

Open Adobe Reader. Navigate to Edit menu / Preferences / Security Enhances. Disable the Protected mode.

Is there any solution for Foxit Reader?
