[9.50b7+] Colors preview looks ugly with high font sizes

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.50b7+] Colors preview looks ugly with high font sizes

Post by *Flint »

The changes in Colors Example box display for file panel produced one unexpected side effect: if user chose a bigger file panel font size, the sample text no longer fits into the Example box, which looks quite weird and unsightly.

I suggest that TC automatically decreased the size of the file panel font when drawing the preview (keeping the font face and width intact); the new size might be calculated from the string width, so that the text would fit. This way, the preview would look consistent and won't show strange half-cut symbols, and at the same time it will allow the user to get the sense of what he/she will see in the actual file panel.

The sample text for file panels (and ONLY for these) is now reduced automatically to fit the preview. Please test!

Confirm, although the width is not taken into account. So if the translation is longer than the original English title, it may be cut on the left and right (see screenshot). Still, it's much better and at least allows to see clearly the result of the color configuration.

Yes, please try shortening the last string a bit.
