Hmm, on my computer there is hardly enough time to read the splash screen - so to what avail?

Splash screens commonly do show version - Delphi's for one.
This is program author's choice and not a question of usability.

For registered users, splash duration is a small fraction of a seconds, too short to read anything. For unregistered users, it is shown until pressing the right key. I noticed that on one PC with unregistered version the length of the version line is beyond the window width, so the last digit isn't visible, like Total Commander version 9.51 RC (not reproducible on my main PC if I rename the wincmd.key: I see the full line). This may depend on OS version and screen resolution. Anyway the line for release version is shorter than for beta, so this problem should disappear.

This is a minor bug, and the simplest fix would be to decrease font size for test versions where the line is known to be longer.
