For what it's worth: I found a nice tool which adds handlers for some multimedia file types to Windows Explorer. That will allow to display content tags of such a file (like artist, track title etc) as additional columns in Windows Explorer. Example: Now I am able to see the content tags of .flac audio files in Windows Explorer.
Using the ShellDetails content plugin, these columns (or content data fields) are now also available in Total Commander.
The software is called Taglib Property Handler and is available at Sourceforge (sorry, apparently I'm not allowed to post the URL, please google it). Works with Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit as well as with TotalCommander 64 bit.
First, thank you for this wonderful plugin.
I have a problem with the column "Year", which displays the year of an audio file.
In TC, the year 2013 is shown "2 013" (space = french separator).
How can i get rid off this separator ?
All numbers in French are displayed this way. Why should there be an exception in this case?
Number formatting can be changed in Windows control panel.
There should be an exception since years are written 2013 and not 2 013, for french people too
Too bad that no parameters can post format our numbers...
Anyway... i will survive
Happy New Year!
Where can I find a plug including a field where I can see at TM the "last time an mp3 file (audio file) was played"?
I like to select music from TC and play it at Windows Media Player. But until now I found no plug to avoid repeating the same songs constantly....
Current version 1.24
A new version is ready for download. I added a new option to cast numbers to year dates. The new option is explained in detail in the documentation.
i double my message because i have another problem :
I have added the filed "Orientation" in my columns, and the field returns nothing.
I tried in Windows Explorer, and it displayed "Normal" or "rotated left 90°" etc...
It's not a really important field, but it is always better when everythings works
2myki
I took a look at this field and it seems to be quite special. Explorer seem to convert a numerical value like "1" or "2" into a hard-coded string value like "normal" and "rotated".
no problem, take your time, that is not a vital field
But since i am curious, i tried the Casts 1, 2, 4, 5 and even 10 to see what i can get in TC, but it remains still blank.
Is there a way to get at least something ? a number ?
Thanx
