Error copying large files from \\tsclient when the copy settings are set to "Use standard copy method (recommended)".
Server 2019, client Wn10x64

Sorry, false alarm, see post below > viewtopic.php?p=392979#p392979

Precisely how do you initiate the copy operation? Do you use F5 to copy, or are you just drag'n'dropping files from/to TC?
How large are the files exhibiting the problem?

(There was -and perhaps still is- a known Windows issue with regard to RDP/Terminal Services when copying files larger than 2GB via drag'n'drop: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/remote/copying-2-gb-file-by-clipboard-redirection-fails )

file ~ 10k
F5, ctrl+c ctrl+v, drag'n'dropping - in all cases
when I set the copy settings to "Use default method only", the problem does not appear

You said the error happens with large files, but now you say the file size is just 10k. 10k is a very small file size.

Thus, i would like to ask for clarification: Does the issue happen with files of any size, or was writing "10k" just a typo?
(Not so much for satisfying my own curiosity, but it might help Ghisler to clearer understand the circumstances of the issue.)

If you feel so inclined, you might want to enable TC's log file (menu "Configuration" --> "Options...", section "Operations", sub section "Log file"). Perhaps the log file can reveal additional information about what's going on there...

Files ~4-5K are copied without problems, ~10 with problems, ~20 - are not copied

The image of the RDP session is frozen. A copy error is visible after reconnecting

You may be running out of file handles. While TC closes files immediately after copying, background virus scanners may still have the file opened in the background for a long time. Btw, Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V goes via Explorer, not internally in TC. You will probably see the same problem in the Explorer too.

Sorry, false alarm. Explororer 80files 800M also does not copy. Error somewhere in the system after Windows updates. But Total Commander when I set the copy settings to "Use default method only" copies perfectly. Bravo Christian Ghisler. Please delete my post
