Quick search with filter (Ctr+S) and refresh

Post by *Devil »

Is there any way to refresh list when filtering with the active filter - i.e. with Ctrl+S enabled?
I have disabled auto-refresh on my remote drive and when have active search and filter and press F2 the filter is reset instead of kept it as it would be if the refresh was automatic.

AFAIK there's no such function; TC always resets the filter. You can reapply the same filter by pressing Ctrl+Shift+S though.

Oh, didn't know about the hotkey, unfortunately Ctrl+Shift+S is used as global hotkey by another program and I can't cahnge it. Is there any way to change this shortcut in totalcmd? The only quick serarch realated thing I found in Configuration - Options - Misc - Redefine hotkeys is cm_ShowQuickSearch .

Haven't found a command that reapplies the filter. I suggest you take a look at the other program again. Ctrl+Shift+S as a global hotkey is just ... who does such a thing?

Perhaps it would work with redefined hotkey + Shift?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I thought of that, too, so I tried. I mapped Ctrl+A to cm_ShowQuickSearch, but pressing Ctrl+Shift+A just selects all files... Perhaps some other key might work, but somehow I doubt it.

Redefined hotkey + Shift don't work - and I would be really surprised if it would. Ok, thanks for the tips, I'll deal with the global hotkey somehow :)
