Total Commander 3.30 beta 4 for Android available

There are some major new functions in beta 4:

• Thumbnails: RAW image support (starting with Android 7) for: .pef, .raw, .rw2, .raf, .dng, .crw, .cr2, .cr3, Android 8: .orf, .arw, .nef
• Editor: Show * in front of file name when file was changed
• Quick search in media player: open keyboard via context menu. Type non-matching character to jump between results
• File picker (GET_CONTENT) can now return multiple files when the caller requests it (e.g. GMail). When selecting folders, they will be returned as the files inside them
• New method in multimedia service to keep service active, should use less CPU but may be ended more often by Android

Multi-rename tool:

• Show new name on its own line below the old name and above size, date and time
• New field [T4] Use EXIF date for all date fields after this placeholder.
• The new field [T4] now also supports video creation date in addition to EXIF date
• The Fields [T1] to [T4] now support a time offset in the form [T1+60m], composed of: Sign + or -, value, unit: s=seconds, m=minutes, h=hours, D=days, M=months, Y=years

Bugfixes:

• Trying to move a file from Android/data subfolders on SD-Card to a normal directory only copied the file
• Multi-rename tool: Preview text in dark mode was black on dark gray on some older Android versions
• File picker, open, save dialogs: Use minimum item height and image width as defined for the main Total Commander window
• Surface 2 duo: Panels split incorrectly after switching between one and two button bars

Why use non matching character to jump between results?


Is there a way to rename the search term after matching a term?
If I found a matching track I am not able to type in a new search term.

Wish: hide non matching results instantly during typing as we know from everything.

Because there is no better suited key on virtual keyboards.

Just use backspace, or wait a few seconds.

Backspace doesnt work on my Android 10 Huawei P30pro in this case. Wait a few seconds work but this can be tricky if i typing in a letter as a fault.


What i mean with my wish:
If i search for a term, then the focus hopping to the first matching track with this term without hiding all other non matching tracks -->this could be helpful in some cases to hide all non matching results as in everything (if activated).
Example:
Have load a playlist that contains ALL mp3 on my phone.
Add Filter to "Depeche Mode"
Select all (filtered) tracks and save a new Playlist to "Depeche Mode".

Example 2:
Have load a playlist with 30 tracks.
Want to see only "Depeche Mode" in playlist (to have a better overview if i search a single track without knowing how to type in correctly - not rare situation )
Filter to Depeche Mode will now show all tracks and i can jump from one Depeche Mode Track to another INSTEAD of see only Depeche Mode tracks (wish).

Sorry, I don't understand - each on screen keyboard has a backspace key. What happens when you tap on it?

If I tap backspace then nothing happens.
I Test it again and found out, that I have to tap exactly 7 times and then the last letter will be deleted. Strange.
I use SwiftKey.

It could be a problem with SwiftKey. Does it work with any other keyboards?

I have installed SwiftKey now and tested it in the debugger: It's a bug in SwiftKey: It does not send any key events when I press Backspace a few times, only after multiple times.

Therefore I have made a few improvements of the quick search function:
1. It will now discard the search text after 5 seconds instead of 10
2. It will close the keyboard, clear the search text, and play the found track when you press the Enter key
