Change of behaviour of the OPENATTRIBUTES command when run in auto mode

The OPENATTRIBUTES command can be run automatically by adding "=" to the command (OPENATTRIBUTES= plugin setting ).
When using it this way the "Change attributes" dialog flashes for a split second - would it be possible to suppress that?
