Color by modification date is not working
Hello!
18.02.2022 I installed fresh version of tcmd from off.site.
I am a newbie and I am trying to set colors for different types of files. It works fine with file extensions BUT when I am trying to set color by MODIFICATION DATE it is refusing to work.
So what I do:
1. Go to the Search and set the rule >00:09:00 — it is minutes. Then to the color options and setting a color to this rule.
Does not work.
2. Go to the wincmd.ini and check [searches]. It looks like this:
<00:09:00_SearchFlags=0|002002000020||||||||22221|0000|||
So I am setting it like this:
<00:09:00_SearchFlags=0|002002000020|||9|-1||||22221|0000|||
As I understand "-1" means minutes.
Still does not work though.

Re: Color by modification date is not working
Where did you "set the rule >00:09:00" ? On "plugin" tab? Modification date or time? It is mean "modified 9 minutes after midnight" NOT "9 minutes old"!
For 9 minutes old files use "Advanced" tab. Works perfectly. If you want set this for all extensions move it to the top of the rules - "first match wins" here.
If you expect help write more info!
What you really want to achieve?
If you can make screeshot and post on image share site, write link as a text without https:// part as you are new and you cannot post links.
BTW: what you mean by "off.site."? Site other than ghisler.com ?

Re: Color by modification date is not working
Most likely means "official site".

Re: Color by modification date is not working
I want to see files I modified in last 9 minutes in a particular color.What you really want to achieve?
Off.site = Official site, i.e. ghisler.comwhat you mean by "off.site."? Site other than ghisler.com ?
Alt+F7 → "Advanced" Checkbox "v" on Attribute, then checkbox "v" on "directory", other like this: ■ → "Plugins" "writetime" "<" "00:09:00"Where did you "set the rule >00:09:00" ?

multiple times. Then to colors. Does not work.
How do I move it to the top?If you want set this for all extensions move it to the top of the rules - "first match wins" here.
Re: Color by modification date is not working
You wrote you want to see FILES but set checbox on DIRECTORIES?!
Just set "Not older than 9 minutes" on "Advanced" tab!
To move item just drag&drop or use Up\Down arrows with SHIFT

Re: Color by modification date is not working
Yes, to be honest I am not familiar with the concept. I just followed guides from Web. I don't really know what do these checkboxes mean and will be obliged if someone explains them to me.You wrote you want to see FILES but set checbox on DIRECTORIES?!
It works. Thank you very much!Just set "Not older than 9 minutes" on "Advanced" tab!
In the "color" rules or in the "search"?To move item just drag&drop or use Up\Down arrows with SHIFT

Re: Color by modification date is not working
Works perfect here as Gral said.
You can let the field Search for under General empty
and only define "Not older than:" under Advanced tab.
This way it works for files and dirs.

Re: Color by modification date is not working
Thank you all for the answers. But why ATTRIBUTES have different types of checkboxes: " ■" and "v"?

Re: Color by modification date is not working
What is the difference between "not set" and "ignored"?Attributes can have 3 states:
- Ignored
- Set
- Not set
Re: Color by modification date is not working
- Set = find files if they have this attr set
- Not set = find files which must not have this attr
- Ignored = find files but the attr doesn't matter / Whatever set or not set

- Ignored = find files but the attr doesn't matter / Whatever set or not set
Re: Color by modification date is not working
Okay, there is new issue now.
When I use Ctrl+D to add directory to hot list, "Desktop" appears by itself in this list but that is not the worst part: when I click on it no passage to the desktop is performing.

What has this to do with the subject of this thread ?texttok wrote: 2022-02-21, 15:47 UTC Okay, there is new issue now.

To get a Desktop entry in the Hotlist make an entry like this
cd ::
