Change individual colors for columns

It would be handy if we could change individual colors for the columns.

In the meantime, many users have made feature requests, but isn't it time to improve it?

Is it a lot of trouble to add the ability to change individual colors for a column?

I hope it can be improved.

Currently I don't see any way to do this.
Personaly I don't see any reason for such a feature.

Personally I would use different colors for custom columns provided by different plugins. Some of them may even have the same name but different content.

+1 for possibility to change colors for different columns.
Like in Double Commander you can set the color and font name/type/size for e.g. the file date/time or the file attributes. Very nice.

It would be a nice feature, but I don't think it is feasible with the Listbox control TC uses in the file panels.

It would be possible, but it would look horrible. You shouldn't use more than 2 fonts on one page...

This is not about fonts but about (background)colors...

TC uses background colors for view modes, and foreground colors for per file attributes.

And if you put a translucent background on top (under the text, of course)?
