I get the same error under Windows 7.
I do not get the error in 32bit TC.
I can reproduce it with a clean ini file.
It happens in both Dark and Normal mode.

Not confirmed, I tried both by picking a color from the dropdown combobox and by using the color picker dialog. When exactly did you get this error?
1. When opening the combobox
2. When clicking on >>
3. When picking a color there
4. When clicking 'Apply'
etc.

3. When picking a color there
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open TC with a clean ini file.
2. Click "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "View Mode".
3. Click on the "Add.." button and enter a name.
4. Click in the "Background" combobox (where it says "default").
5. Click on a color...

I can reproduce it on 3 different computers with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 21H2 - I even tried Windows 10 under both English and Danish locale.

Confirmed most of the time, but not always.

If instead of step 4 and 5 I do this:
  • Press Alt+B, Alt+Down
  • Press down
TC exits immediately without error message.

Same for b1 up to b3.
