Lister: Alt+Enter (fullscreen) doesn't hide the title bar the first time

Post by *Fla$her »

Code: Select all

[Lister]
Maximized=1
Wrap=1
The first time doesn't hide. If you repeat the second and further times, the title bar will be hidden.

Maximized=1 isn't full screen, it's maximized windowed.

When maximized, Alt+Enter does remove the title bar immediately here. What are you viewing? Are you using any plugins?
I tried from text mode and from an mp3 file.

Confirmed for 32-bit normal mode. Dark mode is OK.
64-bit, confirmed for both modes.

Sorry, the title bar is removed (that is: it is cleared, not removed). However the menu isn't. Viewing a text file.

It also doesn't return to maximized state, but to maximized sized window.

Works in x86 and x64.
The title bar and menus are removed after Alt-Enter in full screen mode.
Tested with a text file in Dark mode.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69
QAP 11.6.3.2 x64

I'm aware of that. The keys, AFAIR, are usually given to reproduce the bug, and not to designation a terminological binding.

Text, graphics, media. Not the point. Without plugins.
Win 7 x64, classic theme, TC10.50 b4 x32. Normal mode, not dark.

And you definitely had "Wrap text" marked?

I also confirm this.

Are you confusing anything? I have exactly the opposite. The menu disappears the first time.

Didn't you watch the animated gif?

I seem to have a much worse situation.
When I try to reproduce the problem, I get a completely frozen application.
The OS simply closes the program as hung, but there are no dumps.

WER entry: Application Hang, code 1002.

There is also an error in determining the size of the full screen.
In my screenshot, you can see that the bottom of the scroll bar goes as if FOR the bottom limit of the screen, in anticipation of it ending lower than it actually is.

Yes. At first I didn't understand. Now It's clear. It turns out two different problems. Try it in a classic theme.

Yep, Lister+TC itself are completely hanging when I press ALT+ENTER twice.
If I press ALT+ENTER only once - and after that press ESC - Lister window will return to the windowed view -
BUT without respecting the value of Maximized=X. I mean - if Lister earlier was in maximized window mode - then
after my actions Lister will be rendered "looking like" maximized. Bit this state will not be the true Maximized!
Because the maximized box will not be checked (or how I should call its state - when I click on it in order to get
a window maximized?)
Exactly as it was stated here:
white wrote: 2022-05-05, 17:12 UTC It also doesn't return to maximized state, but to maximized sized window.

1 - it's the initial maximized state of Lister window
2 - it's after the pressing ALT+ENTER only once - and after that the pressing ESC key.
As you see the maximized box is not used - but it should be - because entering to and exiting from the Full Screen should not touch somehow the previous state of this window!
3 - And state 2 is also wrong because my usual NON-maximized size of Lister window is like on this 3rd picture.

OK, I tried this:
1. Started Windows 7 x64 in a virtual machine
2. Switched to classic theme
3. Launched TC x32 via a new non existing ini file:
c:\totalcmd\totalcmd.exe /i=c:\totalcmd\test01.ini
4. Confirmed the two dialogs without changes
5. Went to a folder with some text files
6. Viewed one with F3 - wrap text is enabled by default. The file just contains 3 lines:
test
test
test
7. Maximized the viewer via double click on the title bar
8. Pressed Alt+Enter
-> it was maximized just fine, no menu bar in sight.
I repeated the same with history.txt in step 6, same results.

Maybe I missed something? Can you try with a fresh ini too?
