Well thanks for the trust...

Please check the changes. I have created a snapshot of the page and tagged it with the current version.
It is all about the process.... it would be just sufficient before adding any command for TC 11, for example, to make a simple change and tag it with the old version number ex. 10.52
Now in the version history we have TC 10.52

P.S.
Actually @White you already had a snapshot like this.... and I find your comment = tag better than mine
well then my contribution is only about the reference and suggestion for the users to use the version history page

also from my records, which I have from an old Russian collection the cm_Edit works only with parameters...
(it could very well be the case we are putting a different meaning on the "parameters" term )
this is a hint for @Petermad as well

OK... without parameter: it opens a dialog waiting for input

Later in that thread:

Sorry for giving a wrong solution. It's cm_List which supports a filename as parameter not cm_Edit.
(Note that the arrow is a link to the post)

It has nothing to do with trust. It's the purpose of the wiki that everyone can make changes. Everyone is encouraged to contribute.
The TC version at the top is indeed much more clear than what I had done. I will remove my reference in the table caption.

Added em_Edit to the list:

Added button to open the Help with these commands:

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
hh.exe %COMMANDER_PATH%\TOTALCMD.CHM::dlg_choosecommand.htm

%COMMANDER_PATH%\TOTALCMD.CHM
Open Help for Choose Commands (cm_commands with parameters)
To make the button:
1. Mark the text in the box here above (click SELECT ALL).
2. Copy it to the ClipBoard (press Ctrl+C).
3. Right click on TC's buttonbar and choose "Paste".

Thanks! :)

With this button, the help is displayed in German on my PC.

I have now also added the help in English.

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
hh.exe %COMMANDER_PATH%\LANGUAGE\WCMD_ENG.CHM::dlg_choosecommand.htm

%COMMANDER_PATH%\TOTALCMD.CHM
Open Help (English) for Choose Commands (cm_commands with parameters)|https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=436518#p436518

I have updated the wiki page List of internal commands to comply with the commands of TC 11.01

I also changed the notation of parameters and modifiers, moved some notes at the top to the bottom of the page, and changed a number of descriptions. If you see anything wrong, please let me know.

petermad wrote: 2022-05-20, 20:44 UTC Since there nowhere in TC is a place where you can get an overview of the internal commands that supports parameters, I have compiled this list:
Perhaps you can include a link to the wiki page in your first post as well?
