Wrong context menu items for Secure FTP plugin

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Wrong context menu items for Secure FTP plugin

Post by *Slavic »

Secure FTP plugin itself works well in current beta TC10.50b7, however, some context menu items apparently are irrelevant. Unfortunately, I don't know whether this menu is a component of plugin or TC, so if this bugreport is not related to beta TC, please move it to another forum.

When we have created a secure FTP connection, it shows the context menu on its name:
<Name>
View
Edit
Print
Copy...
Rename...
Move...
Delete
Properties

In this menu, the connection <Name> is shown in bold, so using it is expected to be the same as Enter or double-click the <Name>. It doesn't happen, "Error downloading file!" message is shown instead. Similarly, attempts to use the View, Edit, Print menu items don't work. Could they at least be deleted or greyed out in this menu (or fixed somehow, if possible)?

This cannot be fixed, sorry. The menu items are meant for regular files, but the connection names are more like links.
Total Commander doesn't "know" that the top level of the SFTP plugin contains connections and not regular files as some other file system plugins, so it can't treat them differently.
