Automatic continuation of files for paths exceeding 255 characters

Hello.
I want to ask if it would be possible to add an option for copying / moving: Continue when the path to the file exceeds 255 characters, so that I do not have a window that is already 256 or more characters.
The point is that when I perform a backup, I have programs and files sorted according to certain criteria, and they can have, for example, 5 or more subfolders, so the number of characters in the path will increase.
I know Explorer is short on this, but TC can handle it. (y)
Thanks for adding or at least for the reply. :-)

There's already an option for this. See TC's help, section 4.b) wincmd.ini, option LongNameCopy.

Super, THanX ... :-)

Edit: Sorry, but I don't see this parameter anywhere in Help. :-(
I guess I'm just looking bad, but I can't find it there.

The explanation for this parameter is definitely in the help. It can also be found via the help's search function. Unless you use an ancient TC version somewhere before 7.56 or something...

I have TC 10.50b8.

Edit:
In the end, thanks to Uncle Google, I found this parameter:
So maybe that's what I needed, isn't it?

[wincmd.ini]
LongNameCopy = 1

As I said, it's described in the TC help (though I names the wrong index section). You will find it when searching the help for LongNameCopy.
