SFTP plugin "was unloaded by Android" -- Motorola One 5G Ace

Whenever I try to move data via the SFTP plugin, I get this message:
The plugin SFTP was unloaded by Android.
Try closing some other apps via task manager to prevent this.
If you get this regularly, check the power saving functions of your device.
I've tried closing other apps, I've tried restarting the device, and I've tried disabling battery optimizations. I found someone else on this forum that had the same problem, but no solutions. Is there any way to fix this?

(FTR, I am aware that Google has been making Android worse and worse and this is almost certainly the fault of some nonsense design choice by Google rather than the fault of the dev. Regardless, if anyone knows of a way to get this fixed, I'd greatly appreciate it.)

Motorola is part of Lenovo now, so no wonder they use aggressive power saving functions.

You should try looking in the power settings whether you can define any exceptions.

I'm not seeing anything apart from the battery optimization. It's sure frustrating that OEMs spend so much effort to make sure their devices are broken. Thanks for your help, at any rate.
