10.x LNG: strings 5722, 5723

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

10.x LNG: strings 5722, 5723

Post by *MaxX »

Now we have in original lang.:
5722="Windows version:"
5723="Windows mode:"

What means "mode" in #5723? It shows OS version and build numbers on all my PCs.

Also I found old TC 8.01 to test and...

It looks like there is something strange with this fields...

Imho,
5722="Windows version:"
5723="Windows build:"

would be better.

It is currently used for internal OS version and build number as you found out yourself. I don't have a better name which describes the two. For example, the internal OS version of Windows 11 is still 10.

Sorry, I don't have W11 to test it. Can you give a screenshot?

Well.. Now I think that "Windows build:" fits better then before.
"Windows mode:" associates with Windows Safe Mode for me..

Hm.. I agree, "release" looks better.

Perhaps:

Operating system: Windows 11 Professional
Version: 10.0 (Build 22000)

Maybe that's more accurate:
5702="Hardware\nSoftware\nNetwork"
5720=" Operating system "
5722="Name of OS:"
5723="Windows kernel version:"
Run > %windir%\SYSTEM32\msinfo32.exe
Name of OS: Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate
Version: 6.1 (Build 7601)

I will consider it for a later version. For now I will leave it unchanged, sorry.
