[TC 10.50][TC 10.51RC1] Synchronize Directories Cursor Position

Post by *Hainz »

I compare a directory with many sub-directories with "Synchronize Directories". The Button "Equal Files" is unchecked. "Left" and "Right" checked.
I get a long list with files and subdirectories.

Now I scroll down to one of the Subdirectories. I click on a file, so that the cursor-position is in this subdirectory.
Then I check "Equal Files".

In the older Version of TC the cursor stays in this subdirectory, so that I see all files in this SubDir.

Now the cursor leaves the subdir and jumps to the top of the list and I had to scroll down again to my subDiir.
That is very annoying in long list.

(it happens in 32 and 64 Bit)

Confirmed - it happens because I'm using a much faster method to add the missing lines to the list. I will try to restore the cursor position.

This should be fixed in RC2 - of course only if the file under the cursor is still visible after changing the filter. For example, if a file is marked for copying from left to right, and you click on the '<-' button, the file remains visible and should still be in view now. But if you click on '->', the file will no longer be visible and the view will scroll to the top.

I can confirm the problem in TC 10.51rc1 and that it is fixed in TC 10.51 rc2 and rc3.
