Internal Lister multimedia plugin - bug?

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Internal Lister multimedia plugin - bug?

I can see video, but I can't hear audio.
Standalone players - all which I have (installed, portable) - do open this file fully: video+audio w/o any problems.

My Stand-alone player MPC-HC and the legacy Windows media player don't play audio for this file.
So for me something is wrong with this file.
But it has MPEG Audio.

Which ones did you test?

My results are somewhat mixed: MediaInfo sees an audio stream. MPC-HC only sees the video stream, nothing else. VLC (2.2.8 and 3.0.17) sees both video and audio streams (as well as a subtitle), but there's nothing to hear.

So I agree with Horst that your file is kind of strange.

It's not a standard mp4 container. It's HikVision proprietary format based on MPEG-PS stream.

I tried MPC-BE, LA, Pot Player, custom KMP PLayer 3)))) rather enough imho.
And yes - I know that it is not a normal mp4 file.
But MPEGSplitter with GUID 18C16B08-6497-420E-AD14-22D21C2CEAB7 was used as I see it.
So I though if players can see and use it - so and Lister probably should. But looks like
all things are in the essence of custom format. Players can do a slight more.

Lister can only play what the used filters can see. The LAV splitter filter doesn't support this format either, sorry.
