[TC10.52 (32/64)] Issue with dropdown list in icons tab after chosen language

Post by *oOoZEUSoOo »

Hi,

I don't know if it's a known stylistic issue but here how to reproduce it :

1 - Go to Configuration/Options/Icons tab (all drodown list are not in blue color overlayed),
2 - Go to Language tab, choose any language other than yours and apply button (don't exit options),
3 - Go to Icons tab again and you'll see all 5 dropdown list in blue color overlayed,
4 - Go to Language tab, choose any language, apply without exit,
5 - Go to icons tab, and dropdown list are always in blue color overlayed,
6 - exit options,
7 - Go back Configuration/Options/Icons tab and now dropdown list are not in blue overlayed anymore,

I don't know since when this issue occured.
At the moment, test on Windows 11, 32/64

Best Regards, Frederic.

Maybe this is a Window 11 thing, but I cannot see any difference in the Icons dialog in step 1 3 and 5 under Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 7.

Can you explain what you men by: "blue color overlayed" - do you mean that the value in drop-down list is pre-selected (highlighted) as if you have clicked in the box? I don't see any pre-selection after changing the language

But, you did not write whether this happens for you in Normal or Dark Mode or both, so I tried switching to Dark mode (without exiting the config dialog) - and by doing that I observed that the value of all 5 (or 3, if drive buttons are not enabled) drop-down lists in the Color config were pre-selected, and stayed that way after switching back to Normal mode again.

It also happens if I in the Color configuration switch Dark mode on and off again, without Switching away from the Color config dialog.
But I have to open the Icons dialog before I go to the Color dialog and swithes to or from Dark mode - otherwise it does not happen.
I can track this behaviour back to TC 9.50b1 (when Dark mode was introduced).

Not confirmed. Tried on original and 22H2 version of Windows 11, normal and dark mode.

Yes, it's like if I had clicked in the box to select the text. It occurs in dark and standard mode, under Windows 11 and Windows 10 (I've made the test today)

I've sent a screenshot to Christian G, but I've just seen he didn't confirmed this issue.

The thing is, that I cannot reproduce it by using the language menu.

I hope that Christian could upload my video. I don't have any account to upload something.
It's a pity that we can not upload directly in this forum.

If you click on my username under my Avatar there is an option to send me an email - if you do that I will return it to you with my email-address, so you can send the video to me for upload.

I can confirm all of the above, but still only when switching Dark mode on and off, after first opening those configuration dialogs.

Yep, the same. But definitely more important that we CAN confirm it rather trivial.

2petermad,

I sent you the video to your email address a few minutes ago. I hope you have received it ^^

And it's a good thing that you and AntonyD have confirmed this issue even with other tab.
